There are several stores and websites selling counterfeit 7 jeans, Antik Denim, Joe's Jeans, and several other designer jeans. I even heard from a salesguy that a very reputable store in Seattle was selling counterfeit True Religion, so you will be paying good money for a terrible pair of jeans. The sellers in Soho on the streets are 100% fake. The whole point of wearing the real thing is the quality and fit. To me fit is the most important thing.
Only buy from official websites or Jeans.com ; avoid ebay like the plague- avoid overstock.com, and all so-called auction websites. Even ads and links on google, yahoo, msn, aol, etc.. are full of people selling fake items - one sure way to tell is the price - too good to be true - another telltale sign is if they sell bags or purses, i.e., Louis Vuitton bags for 20 bucks. Once they have your info it is a nightmare, and they change web address really fast. Only buy from official websites or reputable stores, i.e. Nordstrom, Macy's etc...
I also read somewhere that counterfeiters funnel money to terrorist organizations; so everytime someone buys something fake they help the terrorists kill innocent people. All the fake sellers on the streets in Soho are disgusting.
On a fashion note, the fakes are terrible quality and they do not fit right. I tried on a pair of Antik Denim at a store in New York and they looked like crap. The sales girl promised that they were real, but I had tried on real ones at Saks, and these were definitely fake. They think that people are stupid. My girlfriend said that my butt looked all droopy.
