These jeans kick ass. I get a lot of double takes when I wear these. Everyone wants to know where I get them and for some reason wants to touch them...ha ha. Rockstar has the same flavor as the wonderful Balmain jean, but at 1/3 of the cost. Oh...these make me want to start a band! I got mine (the Brown Biker Skinny's) from the designer himself, Frank Mechaly! You can get your own from Jeans.com.
I first came across Superfine when I saw the ever fashionable Ashley Olsen talking about them. This brand has really rad style and marketing. They are very Euro-chic and look fabulous on! You can get them from Shopbob or also in Europe! Check out their page: SUPERFINE
Dylan George jeans are all about the best fit, best fabric, and best wash. They are meticulous when it comes to their jeans and work hard to make sure that it shows. The designer, Danny Guez (formerly of William Rast) has been doing denim for ages and can crank out an amazing collection of jeans. These are my favorite for that basic "matches everything" "always looks good" jean. Try the Amber Low Rise Boot Cut in Palmero. Try it on in Bloomingdales or Nordstrom and buy it from DYLAN GEORGE.
Probably the roudiest bunch of people in the denim industry, Chip & Pepper are all about California style. Their jeans have a vintage feel and are all about comfort. I love the Niki Martin! It fits like a glove. I went to visit Chip & Pepper at their office in Venice and saw their new collections! They were so rad. They are also launching the line Mill Iron, which is super cool...I got one of their t-shirts which is my favorite now! Check out the line on CHIPANDPEPPER.COM
Stitch's jeans are ones that you buy, love, buy more, wear more, love more, and love to buy more. The fit is perfect and the fabrics are super soft. Get the ones with the flap pockets if you need a little boost in the booty, try the Chekore Sexy Bootcut. These cost a pretty penny...but you will definitely look pretty in them! Check out the STITCH'S SHOP. Try them on at Kitson.
If you are looking for super soft denim that feels like you aren't wearing anything, try Black Orchid. The collection is really solid and the designer is so nice. I'd say my favorite are the Milky Way or the Skinny Leg in Venus (the black distressing is really unique.)
Current Elliot has made a wonderful presence in the denim world. The bohemian style and relaxed fits are great for every girl wanting to look pretty. These jeans go great with tea parties, canvas paintings, and Bob Dylan albums. Check out their site and try some on at Bloomingdales.
I love the pocket detailing that Monarchy does. Their washes are very nice and all of the distressing looks natural. Their full collection is really good; the London look really comes across, but subtly. This brand has been around a while and is really making a name for themselves in the fashion world. Check out the Babbette Skinny Zip Pocket at Jeans.com!
Since I orginate from the Northwest I of course have a love for things earth friendly. Revel Seven is organic cotton and doesn't use any harmful chemicals when making their jeans which is great for the enviroment. I got a pair from the company to test out and they are a great basic jean. They have a nice classic fit and wash that goes with everything. I got the Skinny in Blue Wash and I think that you should too! Revel Seven just had a cool piece in Nylon Mag. and Seventeen Mag.
Let me tell you why I
love Allison Izu Jeans....I am short! One problem I have with a lot of
my designer jeans is that they are too long for me! I have to cuff or
get them tailored a lot. Well, since the designer of this brand is
short herself she wanted to design jeans for women like me who aren't
model height! Her denim comes in a 27" and 31" Inseam which is great
because most ladies are around the 5.5ft area. Check out her UK Zipped Super Skinny Jean, the pocket detailing is really cute and the washes are very dark (this makes your legs look slimmer.)
